Hurricane Ian Relief Fund-The RYAN Healing Center

My name is Jennifer Barth and I am the Outreach Specialist for the RYAN Healing Center in Ft. Myers Florida. As most of you know, our recovery homes are located in Ft. Myers, Florida where Hurricane Ian hit the hardest. It has been a traumatic and devastating loss for so many. Our hearts are broken. We are grateful to God that all of our women are and were safe during the storm. However, this is far from over.

Our homes were in an evacuation zone and one of them has incurred significant roof damage and tree damage that is going to require a significant cleanup. The power is still out everywhere and we don’t know when it will be back on. The entire power infrastructure has to be rebuilt rather than repaired. We don’t know when or if our women will be able to return to their jobs. There are a lot of unknowns and the recovery time for a natural disaster of this magnitude is sure to take a long time.

We need to be able to take care of these women and their children no matter what and no matter how long it takes for our beloved SWFL to get back on its feet.

We will need to provide food, proper housing and all of their basic needs while we also address the repairs to the homes. We need your help to do this. We need your help more than ever.
