Support Me in Bringing Healing and Resiliency to Black Girls and Women

I plan to attend a 5-week Yoga teacher training in Bali, Indonesia where I will acquire my 500-Hr Teacher Training Certification. The training is comprehensive and will cover a depth of topics not only allowing me to deepen my knowledge as a yoga teacher, but also to experience the personal freedom, self-mastery, and connection to the Universal Spirit that is offered by Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci. This teaching team has over 50 years combined experience in Ashtanga.  They are supportive, encouraging, and empathetic, while speaking to the complexities of racism, sexism, and colonialism.



Yoga has been the radiant light that's woven  through my life the last five years.  When I found Ashtanga yoga, I felt a hope that transcended the reality of a world marred by oppression and trauma; I found salvation.  Another world is possible and I believe that yoga is a practice that makes that possible, where thriving, resiliency, and unconditional love are our standards for relating to one another.

The amount I am seeking to raise will cover these expenses:

Tuition $5400

I plan to pay for the cost of my transportation, housing, and food ($1500.)


I am ever grateful to all the people that have supported me in my yoga journey so far.  My gratitude for the opportunity to further my education will be expressed through my continued commitment to share my practice with the world as a move towards peace, social justice and healing.

I am a commitment to the empowerment of Black women and girls and plan to use this experience to help me grow as a leader in creating positive change in and around me.
