Help Queer/Gay Palestinian Seek Asylum & HIV Treatment

Hey everybody

I’m raising money to help my friend who I’m going to be calling ‘Rami’ for safety purposes, find a safe passage to relocate to a safe place.

Rami is a 21-year-old HIV+ Palestinian gay man from Gaza. Rami escaped from his extremely abusive and homophobic family recently.

His own family would constantly beat, torture, and isolate him, never allowing him to leave the house by himself.

After years of horrible abuse, Rami took a rare opportunity and finally managed to escape to turkey very recently.

His family is looking for him as we speak.

Currently, Rami is in Turkiye. He’s an illegal refugee in a country that doesn’t provide him protection or HIV treatment as he's undocumented

meaning he can be deported back to Gaza at any time.

One of his family members who is living in Turkey is also searching for him.

He’s constantly receiving threats.

To make things worse, Rami tested positive for HIV at an LGBTQ anonymously based STDs testing center 3 weeks ago.

Rami needs help URGENTLY for a few reasons:

1) Rami is HIV positive with NO access to healthcare and medication because of his illegal status. Without treatment, HIV is a deadly virus that could kill him in a few years.

2) He can be deported back to Gaza at any time.

3) His family may find him soon and take him back to Gaza. He’s afraid his family will kill him.

Rami is a very kind and good person and I've been following up with his story very recently and can 100% authenticate his story

And by helping him he will get the chance to rebuild his life, a life where he can get on treatment for HIV and go to university. A life where he isn’t beaten and tortured for being gay, for just being himself. A normal life where he has safety and love, just like the rest of us.

Your kind donations will be used to help Rami relocate to a safe country that provides protection and healthcare for LGBTQI+ refugees. It will cover his flight expenses and basic human needs like shelter and food for the next few months.
