Randy Meese, a much loved Husband, Father & Friend passed away on September 19, 2018 after an intense fight with esophageal cancer.
Shortly following his death it became clear that Randy had made a substantial impact in the lives of more people throughout the course of his life than anyone had realized.
As a longtime friend of Randy and also a brother-in-law of Autumn Mastroine (Randy's daughter), some of my first thoughts were those of how to help Cheryl (Randy's wife of 42 years) and his family through this difficult time.
I made the offer of starting a Go Fund Me page shortly after Randy's passing, assuming there would be some intense financial needs due to Randy & Cheryl not being able to work and of course, medical and funeral expenses. The family was not quick to agree to this idea. Randy was a proud man, worked hard and provided for his family well. Accepting help would be uncharacteristic of a man & family who are and have been givers.
However, I am convinced, that in his absence he would want the best for his wife and family and would be touched by anyone who would help them through this time. After some persistence and convincing, the family has agreed to allow this Go Fund Me to be created.
As it turns out, the financial burden is heavy at this time and I believe that Cheryl could use our immediate support. I feel that as friends and family it is our duty to give back to a family and specifically a man that has given so much. Please join me in giving, as a tribute and memorial to a great man and his family in this time of need.
All funds will go directly to Cheryl Meese & used to help her get back on her feet. When setting up this Go-Fund-Me the website asked us to set a financial goal. How do you put a number on what is "enough"? Immediately the question is what is realistically possible to raise? The number that we chose seems like a reasonable goal, however, after perusing multiple Go Fund Me memorial/medical costs pages I realize that we could far exceed our "goal" and we should far exceed this goal. The real goal is to ease financial burden for as long as possible for Cheryl. Let's do our due diligence. Thank You!
