Ratt and Wendy Kennedy

Richard “Ratt” Kennedy and his his wife Wendy have been leading the fight against ALS for more than 20 years.   After losing both his father and youngest brother to this deadly disease, Ratt became President of the Angel Fund and through their alliance with top ALS researcher Dr. Robert Brown, they are helping to bring us closer than ever to finding a cure.  With over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, Ratt has provided countless hours to treating and counseling ALS patients and their families.  

Those of us who know Ratt and Wendy know they have also somehow found the time to raise four remarkable children, Lindsey, TJ, Taylor and Christian.



18 months ago in the most tragic twist of irony, Ratt was diagnosed with ALS himself.   As if that wasn't enough for one family to endure, Wendy is dealing with her own illness and has recently gone through multiple open-heart surgeries.  

The costs to battle both of these terrible diseases is so much more than anyone could ever  anticipate. The costs will only increase as his illness progresses.  

Ratt is no longer able to do what he loves -- treat his patients.  Wendy and Ratt will soon exhaust their savings.   Let's join forces and support them both as they approach the next phase of their courageous battle. They are going to need ongoing support from those of us who love them and are proud to call them our friends.
