Rebecca's MS Fund
Donation protected
Our dear friend, Rebecca, was diagnosed with MS last fall and her health is deteriorating quickly. The
medications available are not slowing down the rapid progression of this terrible disease. The only
treatment that presents hope is a Stem Cell Transplant; unfortunately it isn’t covered by insurance.
Please help us raise the funds to help her with this huge expense.
There is a long waiting list for Stem Cell Transplants, but she can be placed on a cancellation list and
likely get in much sooner than the usual 8 month wait.
Every other week Rebecca has an injection of a disease modifying drug with very strong side effects,
especially the first three days after. She was hopeful when she began the injections because, after the
first three days, she was having several good days. However, the medication is less and less effective,
resulting in more pain-filled days than good. She continues the injections because she knows the MS will
progress even faster if she stops. Recently she woke up with vision loss in one eye and spent the
weekend infusing steroids to stop it.
Rebecca is an amazing woman- kind, generous, funny and supportive of family and friends. Now she
needs our support; can you help? The cost of the procedure is $54,500 plus travel expenses. Our goal is
to help as much as possible!
If you are able to help, please send your donation to….. every bit will help. Thank you in advance for
helping Rebecca fight this debilitating disease.
