We won’t sugarcoat it: the Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA) is at a critical crossroads. For fourteen years, we’ve sustained our mission solely through member dues. This year, however, our membership growth has fallen short, and new revenue streams have been slow to develop. But here's the truth—86% of our members have voiced their strong support for us to keep pushing forward. Now, more than ever, we need you—our members, specialty chocolate professionals, and passionate consumers—to step up and be the catalyst for change.
Founded in 2007, FCIA is wholly dedicated to supporting specialty chocolate professionals. We’ve built a global community that spans the entire chocolate value chain. Our platform is where industry leaders and enthusiasts converge to learn, innovate, and drive the future of fine chocolate—from crafting bean-to-bar-to-bonbon masterpieces to navigating the intricacies of shipping and understanding the volatility of cacao prices. We are deeply committed to this mission, and we invite you to join us on this transformative journey.
Our situation is urgent. We are awaiting the outcome of a promising international development grant, but our current cash flow is dangerously low. Without your immediate support, we face the very real possibility of running out of operating funds before this grant comes through. This is where you can make a powerful impact—by donating today, you can help us bridge this critical gap and ensure FCIA not only survives but thrives.
Our immediate goal is to replenish our operating funds so that we can reinvent FCIA and continue to uplift the specialty chocolate industry. We are steadfast in our commitment to ethical sourcing, best practices, and uncompromising quality. Your contribution will directly help sustain FCIA as a vital resource for all who share this passion. Stand with us and be proud to be a driving force in shaping the future of specialty chocolate.
Donate today and be a part of this exciting transformation!
With $25,000 in donations, we will have sufficient operating funds through the end of 2024. This will allow us to pursue new revenue streams, hold Board Elections, and begin our annual membership renewal drive for 2025.
With $50,000 in donations, we will be able to do the above and also accelerate strategic investments:
- Secure expert help to update the FCIA strategic plan, including evaluation of the brand and diversification of revenue streams;
- Optimize member services, and benefits based on member input;
- Establish and enable working groups with seed money to execute the new strategic plan and member service updates.
Donate today to help us achieve these goals!
