COVID-19: #RENTRELIEF For Families
Donation protected
COVID-19 is having a devastating impact on families and communities across the country and around the world.
Our non-profit, The Conscious Kid , is dedicated to the well-being of children, families and communities—particularly those without equitable access to resources.
Families are hurting, can’t make rent, can’t afford their bills to keep the lights on, and can’t afford groceries.
One of the things that has given us resilience during this crisis has been witnessing the incredible acts of kindness and support happening around the country and world. One example being Fred Joseph’s #RENTRELIEF GoFundMe on Twitter.
We are joining Fred Joseph’s #RENTRELIEF effort and here’s how it works:
1. If your family can’t make rent, has an unexpected bill, or is in a jam because your hours were cut or you lost your job, comment on The Conscious Kid’s Instagram on this post with your CashApp, Venmo, or PayPal.
2. We’ll post all transactions in The Conscious Kid’s Instagram stories each day so people know exactly where every dollar is going.
3. If you’d like to join us and help families who are a few hundred dollars short on rent, groceries, or bills, donate to this GoFundMe.
During this time of social distancing and isolation, we can still come together to support one another.
GoFundMe donated $5,000 to kick this off. That’s enough for 25 people who are $200 short.
Can we get to $10,000? That means we’ll be able to help 50 people during this difficult time.
20,000? That means 100 people can make rent.
Times are tough. People need help. Let’s take action.
**Every dollar that comes into this GoFundMe will be sent to families who need it. For full and ongoing transparency, we will post every transaction publicly in our Instagram Stories and save them as Highlights.**
