RESCUE, RELIEF, REBUILD NEPAL
I would like to begin by extending a very big THANK YOU to those who contributed to the OM – Helping the people of Nepal fundraising in deep gratitude to all who donated to this fund in the last few months. With everyone’s efforts and contributions we managed to raise more than $5000 in donations. All donations went to Namgyal Rinpoche Foundation who has helped many villages with food, water, medicine and shelter. The Nepalese people in these villages have been so very grateful and thankful for all donations made which has helped them significantly which has made a HUGE difference in their lives and in their quality of living.
Some of you may know and others not yet that I’m leaving to travel to Nepal in December to meet with Namgyal Rinpoche Foundation Lamas to help the relief centre with a great desire to raise as many donations as possible from Australia before I leave for my journey in December 2015 this year.
Currently, Namgyal Rinpoche Foundation have entered in their 2nd phase in aiding Nepal so their focus now is in assisting with temporary shelter, providing Zinc sheets for houses, schools, community halls and monasteries of many desperate villages. They need your helping hands to help rebuild a better NEPAL. I hope you can join me in this vision and outcome for Nepal and the people of Nepal.
So with this deep wish in my heart I would like to reach out to my own personal friends and family and any of your friends, colleagues and family who feel inspired to provide aid to this worthy cause by generously donating which receives my deepest humble appreciation for all your contributions large or small, it all makes a difference.
This will enable the Namgyal Rinpoche Foundaton to continually provide for those in need and all your donations provide support to the poor and grief stricken victims of the recent disastrous Nepal earthquake.
Be aware that 100% of the money raised will go directly to the relief.
Who is Namgyal Rinpoche Foundation?
Losang Namgyal Rinpoche, a Kopan Rinpoche and a high lama for the Tamang people, has been coordinating with Kopan on relief work and leading efforts to provide much needed short and long term aid to victims of the recent earthquakes in Nepal which destroyed more than 500,000 houses and 2,000 gompas. The Namgyal Rinpoche Foundation Nepal was established by Tulku Losang Nagmyal Rinpoche in 2010 to improve the social outcomes of the people of Nepal, particularly in the remote areas.
Presently their focus is on providing relief to those victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal. Providing essential food and medicine supplies to 5,000 families was their first priority in terms of short term aid.
The second phase of support, which is now underway, is to help with temporary shelter.
The third phase of these efforts, which focuses on long term assistance, will be to help rebuild permanent houses, gompas, school, and other structures.
All donations are welcome whether large or small as they can go a long way (the cost of a cup of coffee or tea we might buy from the café that small amount you could relinquish and donate could save a life or bring food to a hungry belly) .
Thank you so much in advance for your consideration and compassion. Without your generosity, we would not be able to continue to help so many. With your help, I know we can make a difference for those in need, who will have their lives changed for the better.
I know, we all have been through some tough times where supportive handouts would have helped a lot and therefore we thank you for your continued support in this unpredictable times and will continue to keep you updated with our efforts so you can see where all your monies are directed to in Nepal Earthquake relief fundraiser.
