Returning to the Fight: Round Two for Dave Comeau

Hello Everyone!

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, yet a very hopeful one. My family is seeking your prayers and support for my “little” brother, Dave Comeau, who is facing another challenging health battle. Dave has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time, just two years from his first diagnosis. He is being so brave, and a true Warrior in every sense of the word. He shows no fear entering this battle with attitude and positivity unlike anyone I know. And if you know Dave well, you will know his courage is solely fueled for his family and close friends, not for himself. You will also know that Dave loves to be in the middle of fun, he laughs a ton, and will drop everything for a friend in need. He is also not shy about expecting a full double-armed hug upon greeting people who are important to him, and even a few he may not know that well at all.

I struggled with the decision to go down the Go-Fund Me road again. Everyone was SO extremely supportive of Dave, through the first GFM, that I was worried about what people might think, or will Dave be embarrassed, or will he loose friendships over this…stupid thoughts. In the end, I am only asking the question. You can say no, you can ignore it, you can swipe up, you can pray for him, you can share it, but you might say yes. So, from the deepest part of my hopeful heart, I ask you, would you please help my brother by donating towards this fundraiser? Donations of all sizes (and shapes) will help Dave get through this incredibly financial burden so he can focus on the real fight.

Cancer did not give Dave the chance to get back on his feet after his last win on the battlefield, and sadly, cancer goes beyond hospital and medical care and the impact is felt long after the treatments and recovery are done. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in helping Dave’s big bald head stay afloat and avoid sinking into deep debt. Your compassionate donation will help him with the overwhelming medical costs, mortgage payments, insurance, and bills, etc. You can imagine how incredibly difficult this must be for him and his family, not only financially, but emotionally as well. Your help would lift a heavy weight off their tired shoulders.
