Reuniting Wakil with Our Family
Donation protected
My name is Narwan Nzhat, and I’ve faced the challenges of leaving Afghanistan due to the Taliban takeover on August 15, 2021. Fortunately, my father and I managed to escape, but my brother, Wakil Sadid, had to flee in 2019 after threats from the Taliban. He has been living in India ever since.
Wakil is a talented and hard-working individual who was not able to complete his bachelor’s degree because of being a refugee in a foreign country. He has wished to relocate and reconnect with his family in Boston and continue his education.
Our Goal: Our heartfelt goal is to reunite our family by bringing Wakil to the USA. The funds raised will cover essential expenses, including travel costs and fees associated with the Welcome Corps program.
Expenses Breakdown:
1. Welcome Corps Fees:
o To help Wakil, we need to raise $2,425 per refugee prior to their arrival.
2. Travel Costs:
o Estimate the cost of Wakil’s travel from India to the USA, including airfare and visa fees.
3. Living Expenses (Initial 90 Days):
o Cover rent, groceries, household essentials, and clothing during Wakil’s first 90 days in the USA.
o The remaining funds will contribute to his well-being and adjustment.
4. Emergency Fund:
o Set aside a portion of the funds for unexpected situations or emergencies.
Your Impact: By supporting our campaign, you’re not just helping reunite our family; you’re contributing to hope, resilience, and love across borders. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for being part of our journey. Let’s bring Wakil home!
