Mattias' missions trip to Austria

Dear friends and family,
I want to share with you an incredible opportunity I have been given. From July 19-26, 2016, I will be traveling with my dad to Reutte, Austria. While there, we will serve alongside Austrian Christians in ministry to refugees from the middle east and Africa. I left Austria as a young boy, and now as I prepare to go off to college, I'm eager to serve in a country that had such an impact on my life.
It has been five years since I was last in Austria and I'm excited about returning with my dad for us to serve together. The ministry focus to refugees is especially interesting to me because of how much the European refugee crisis has been in the news. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a gospel presence in the midst of this crisis.
While we are there, Peter Biber, President of International Teams Austria, will connect us with refugees through Intertreff, their local ministry center. In addition to Bible studies and outreach, we anticipate also being a part of Intertreff's weekly International Cafe, a drop-in time to hang out with refugees living the area. Beyond all this, we also plan to be involved in work projects and local service opportunities.
I'm excited about this cool experience this summer. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish, but we know we can't do this alone. We can make great plans, but if we don't have the prayer and support of others before and during our trip, we will be limited in our effectiveness. As you can imagine, a trip like this also requires financial support, so, in addition to prayer support, we also need to raise $2,500 by June 1st, 2016.
