Revive Green Meadows Pool

Green Meadows Pool is a membership based neighborhood pool in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It was incorporated in 1969 and GMP is one of two remaining pools not owned and operated by the city. Since that time it has provided for summertime fun for all ages. In a time where children spend less and less time outdoors our neighborhood pool offers a place to disconnect and socialize face to face. An adult swim is also offered and provides a chance for our senior members to exercise converse with their friends and neighbors.

In 2012, the pool was almost set to close and a handful of members rallied together to provide the maintenance needed to open for another season. Since then, the board has grown in size with the common goal of keeping the pool alive. Board members continue to complete repairs needed to keep the pool running however many needed repairs are out of our budget and ability level.

Even with support from our members, the cost of needed repairs and possible rebuild are far out of reach.

Any and all funds collected will go directly towards a new pool that will continue to provide a safe and fun place for our members.
