Richard's memorial fund

Our dad, Richard Bentley injured his right leg while working at his job back in April. The muscles and ligaments in his thigh tore causing persistent and intense pain. As a result mobility became a challenge. His discomfort grew worse as the days went on, despite all the medical advice and treatments they sought. Because he was confined to a recliner for about 3 months, he developed several blood clots as well as a large hematoma in the injured leg, which only added to his excruciating pain.
In mid-July, Richard began having trouble breathing. The paramedics rushed him to the hospital where it was discovered that he had a huge blood clot across both lungs. The doctors were able to stabilize him, but they didn’t have the necessary equipment to continue, so he had to be life-flighted to another hospital and was put in ICU. They drained the excess blood in his leg (from the hematoma), but there were some complications and he needed a couple blood transfusions. Unfortunately, it has since filled back up. After his hospital stay, he was moved to a rehabilitation center, where he is currently residing, to help him work on his mobility.
Richard is kind and compassionate to everyone he knows and meets. He used to be a dedicated, hard working electrical engineer and has selflessly provided for his large family for many years. Eight years ago he was laid off and lived in family housing until a year ago. Several years ago he retired and took a job last spring to fund their trip (wife and youngest son) for a family reunion in another state and ended up missing it because of his work related injury.
If you feel moved to assist them with their financial needs it would be most appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read, donate, pray, and share this cause to help Richard and Nancy.
With appreciation, his ten children (Heather, Todd, Heidi, Natalie, Shanae, Jacob, Jason, Tyler, Bryson, and Branton)
