Richter Family Clear Lake Wild Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi, this is Chad the Stepfather to David Richter, Katrina Richter, and grandfather of Nika Richter.
On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the Clear Lake wildfires consumed everything David, Katy, and Nika owned and destroyed the School bus they had been diligently converting into their dream RV and self-sustained home. Several year's worth of money and hard labor were all gone in a day and now they are left homeless with nothing but their truck and a few personal belongings. This bus was more than just a project—it was a symbol of their dedication, hard work, and the future they envisioned together.
The finish line was almost in sight, with just a set of tires standing between them and their completed dream home on wheels. Tragically, those tires became an unforeseen obstacle, preventing them from saving their home from the flames.
This is an incredibly difficult time as they just learned they will be having a second child early next year as well. The upcoming winter season adds urgency to their situation, as they strive to rebuild their life before the cold sets in.
Your support can make a world of difference during this challenging time. By contributing to their fundraiser, you're not just helping them secure a roof over their heads, basic essentials, and clothing. You're helping them rebuild their lives, piece by piece, and rediscover the sense of security and comfort that was abruptly taken away.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope in David, Katy, and Nika's lives.
UPDATE: Two of their kittens were found in hiding around their burned-out bus and are in desperate need of both medical attention and need to be placed in a good home. They are doing okay but have burns on their legs. Send a message if you know anyone who can take care of these two little guys.
Thank you for for time and support,
Chad
