In memory of Magherita Miller
Six years ago, Rita Miller was diagnosed with myeloidfibrosis. At the time she was given a life expectancy of 2-4 years. During her time suffering from myeloidfibrosis she was diagnosed and treated for with Acute Myeloid Leukeima. Her amazing team of doctors, nurses and support staff led by Dr. Saurabh Rajguru at UW Health were able to secure multiple grants through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to pay for experimental and expensive treatments that helped to extend her life far beyond her original life expectancy.
On August 15, 2021 she peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her family. We ask that to honor her memory, to pay back the money she was given for her treatment, and to help find better treatments for AML, myeloidfibrosis and blood and bone cancers that you make a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in her name.
Your donation will be used to research cures for and provide treatment to people afflicted with many types of bone and blood cancers. Thank you in advance for your donation.
