INTRODUCTION

Hi, my name is Rob, and I am reaching out to you today with hope and gratitude. Life has thrown many challenges my way, but I refuse to let them define me. After surviving three strokes, multiple surgeries, and ongoing health battles, I have fought every step of the way to regain my strength. Now, I am ready to take back my independence but I need a little help to do so.

I am raising funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle, a tool that will transform my daily life by allowing me to regain my mobility, ease the burden on my wife, and continue my journey toward helping others.

WHY THIS MATTERS

For over 20 years, I dedicated my life to caring for others as a nurse. It was my passion, my calling. Then, my health took an unexpected turn. After experiencing multiple strokes, enduring six amputations (with more procedures ahead), and facing kidney failure that requires a transplant, my life changed completely. Through it all, I have remained determined not just to survive, but to thrive.

Currently, my wife is my sole caregiver, handling everything from medical appointments to home dialysis treatments all while being the only source of income for our family. She has shouldered this responsibility for over eight years, and while her love and support are unwavering, I want to lighten her load. I want to reclaim my independence and take control of my daily life.

With my strength returning, I have been accepted into Penn State University, where I will be pursuing a degree to become a therapist or psychologist. My goal is to help others who have faced hardships like mine to provide guidance, support, and encouragement to those in need. But to do this, I need the ability to travel safely and independently.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

I am seeking $50,000 to cover the cost of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. This will allow me to:

• Attend medical appointments without overburdening my wife.

• Go to school and pursue my dream of helping others.

• Regain freedom and independence, improving my overall quality of life.

• Alleviate the stress placed on my wife, giving her the chance to focus on her own well-being.
