Robbie Villa’s Recovery

We all have that one friend that works harder than anyone you know. That one friend who puts forth so much effort and passion into their craft. That one friend, who when you watch, you say with confidence that they deserve so much because of how hard they work. That friend of ours is Robbie Villa.

 

Robbie, husband to Katy, and father to Pear and Penelope, has suffered a horrific tragedy. On September 7th at 6am Robbie was in a car accident on his way to work in which he fractured his thoracic spine and suffered very severe chemical burns from potassium hydroxide (a form of lye) to 30% of his body, including the entirety of his face and eyes. He is currently in the ICU at the best burn trauma facility in the country and will be there for the next month or longer. He will undergo multiple surgeries including plastic surgery, skin grafting, and eye surgery. Currently our focus is saving his eyesight as that is where most of the trauma is.

 

The family is devastated and very overwhelmed.

 

As a group of close friends we wanted to do whatever we could to help and support the Villa family. If any of you can spare ANYTHING to help that would be much more than appreciated. Just a single day spent in the ICU bed costs $14,000. Robbie is unfortunately uninsured so absolutely anything helps. Thank you for your time and we'll keep you updated!
