Let's Be Kind: Event Date JUNE 13, 2018

Hi my name is Rebekah and I am an 8th grader at Costa Mesa Middle School and I am putting on an event at my middle school to spread kindness.

This is a free event at Costa Mesa Middle School to show kindness to the student body.   In a world where kindness seems to not be the norm I wanted to show my fellow classmates that kindness can change our campus.  We spend 10 months out of the year on our campus.  We share our lives with each other and are a built-in community of 7th and 8th graders.  We should be kind to each other.  Over the last few years I lived in El Salvador and with much change came many challenges.  It taught me that kindness changes things.  One of the things that stood out to me the most while living abroad was the kindness of others.  People have shown kindness to me in incredible ways and I want to give that back to the people that I get to be with every day.

 

This event is to just show kindness. 

 
I would love to be able to give each junior-higher a free “Let’s Be Kind” sticker and t-shirt OR hat.  Could you image just seeing a campus full of junior-highers wearing their t-shirt OR hat to school?  It would be pretty cool.  It would be a constant reminder to be kind to each other.  Let’s be kind is an event that I hope will remind people that they are cared for, loved and valued. On my campus those three words are hard to know and feel but KINDNESS you can see.  The hope is that kindness will bring a group of students together to become the most incredible people that our school has ever seen.

What we will be giving away:
