INCOME LOST DUE TO STAGE 4 CANCER

My husband of over 20yrs was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon /rectal cancer. we have 3 kids and 2 grandchildren and he's not ready to go. The cancer has metastasized and spread to his lymp nodes, liver, and lungs. There is no history of cancer in Roberts family, so from what we have been told and read we are assumming he picked it up while he was serving in the military during the gulf war .... some gave all ... some are still giving ... this really took our family by surprise ... we were unprepared, we never expected anything like this to happen to us ... what savings we had were quickly burnt through due to the loss of Roberts income, insurance co-pays, and bills. Robert was working as a mental health nurse, helping mentally disabled adults when he became to sick to continue working, the loss of his income has hurt our family tremendously and without some financial help we are unsure how long we will be able to keep up his treatments or even stay in our home ... even though this is so very hard to ask we would be very greatful for any help right now
