Bring Baby Romero Home!

Donation protected
My sister, Kelsi, and her husband, Jim, are taking a leap of faith and beginning the process to bring a boy with Down Syndrome into their family through adoption. My family is so blessed and humbled to be a very small part of the process.

Since the birth of their 6th child, who was born with Down Syndrome, they have been burdened with their increasing awareness that so many babies who are born with Down Syndrome are unwanted and unloved. And, in many other parts of the world, these special children are viewed as outcasts with no ability to learn or to be functional members of society. These children are institutionalized, and do not receive basic care or the medical treatment they need, and, most importantly, they do not ever know the love of a family.

There are no waiting lists of people waiting to adopt children with special needs, and my sister and her husband know that they have been called to serve these children.  Through a ministry called Reece's Rainbow, whose mission it is to find families for orphans with Down Syndrome, Jim and Kelsi have been matched with a beautiful baby boy. They already consider him their son, and cannot get him out of that orphanage and into their family surrounded by love fast enough. But, they cannot do it without prayers and financial support.

The adoption process is going to cost their family thousands of dollars that they do not currently have, but they are taking a leap of faith and trusting that the Lord is going to provide in big ways for this baby and for their family. I am humbly asking you to be a part of the process. Not all of us are called to adopt as they have been, but we are all called to care for orphans and for "the least of these" as this child is.

It can seem overwhelming  to think about the millions of children all over the world in need of a home, but you
can help one. You can help to give this one particular child a home and love that he would never otherwise have.

My goal is to play a very, very small part by simply raising the initial $5,000 that they need to get the process started (and maybe blow that goal out of the water to cover more than just the initial amount!). This initial amount covers their homestudy, background checks, Hague agency fee, etc.

My sister and her husband have incredible faith, and they gladly give up earthly comforts and treasures to build up heavenly ones. Please consider doing the same and giving generously through your financial support and through your prayers for this child and this family.
