My Beloved Rommel Bear's Vet Bill

As you all know, my sweet and beloved German Shepherd passed away peacefully on Thursday.  He was a much loved family member and everyone who met him aabsolutely loved him.   He was a gentle soul, loved his basketballs, mallard and buffalo.  Any new puppy or cat we would bring into the family he would care for them like they were his own.  He didn't like anyone messing with his tail; however, he never snapped at Domino (who at times who pull so hard he would have fur in his mouth). Patches (the little spitfire) would dive bomb him from the couch and literally hang from his scruff and he would walk around doing nothing until she finally fell off.  I never felt afraid at night or when I was alone because I knew if the time came he would protect me by all means possible.  I remember the first day I got him...graduated from law school, drive up to Kentucky and brought him home.  He never had to walk anywhere because we carried him around like a baby until he just got too big.  He loved running in the field and always made sure the other dogs didn't go far.  He did not like yellow labs.  I will never forget the  day when I took him to the puppy park and  he herded all 5 yellow labs in a corner and wouldn't let them leave.  I have so many stories I could share but it would end up being a novel.  My special guy will be missed more than you could know.  I thank you all so much for making his passing financially easier on me.  The vet bill was quite expensive but I had to do everything I could to give him a fighting chance.
