Rory's Race for a Cure
Donation protected
An avid cricket fan committed to defying limitations, Rory is an unstoppable force. He was born and raised in Trinidad but has traveled around the world and back, making lifelong friends along the way. He has a benevolent heart and a knack for seeing the light in every situation. His loyalty and dedication to friends and family has made him irreplaceable in the lives of many.
Three years ago, Rory decided to take control of his health and through conscious eating, exercise, and boundless will power he was able to run his first 5k without stopping. In short, Rory is a fighter. And he’s about to face his biggest fight yet.
This Christmas Rory was diagnosed with Follicular Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL). This cancer begins in the lymphatic system and spreads through the body through white blood cells. It was a blessing to discover this diagnosis early, but treatments will still be intense and taxing. As it stands we are expecting at least six months of vigorous treatments and as you can imagine this can take a toll on even the most resilient of people. In the interest of keeping Rory focused on healing, we are asking you to help raise the money to cover his personal expenses for the duration of the treatment process.
Rory is an integral part of our family and a beloved member of his community. He is probably the last person who would ask for help, so on his behalf, we hope that you can donate towards our goal of helping him beat this obstacle. Any amount will be greatly appreciated and together we can mirror Rory’s tenacity to overcome.
