ROSEMARIE’S HEALING JOURNEY WITH BREAST CANCER

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rosemarie!
I want to share this difficult chapter in my life in hope to encourage people to always find joy in their life, be present, and live with love and gratitude daily.

For over a year and a half, I received news that has created a huge disruption in my life. My breath was taken away! I had to step back and evaluate how I was living.

I've had a disintegration of old mindsets, emotional breakdowns, from finding courage in living my truth, listening to my intuition and receiving kindness from strangers.

Last year, I had a deep conversation with a dear friend of mine about mortality and death. She was checking up on me and said that I sound really happy and well. With honesty, I told her we never know when we will go and the truth is that you don't have to have a terminal illness to die.

In reality, someone perfectly healthy can die from a car accident or something random.
People nowadays don't have to wait for something drastic to find joy or be present in their lives.

I say this because in late 2017, at age 34, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
The most difficult  part of my journey is going against the grain: NATURAL HEALING.

Because my body is too weak, I know I won’t be able to handle chemo, radiation, and the other conventional treatments, so I’ve opted for holistic healing.

It's scary, but I'm at peace.  There are many others who are waking up to the belief that the body has the ability to heal itself when given the right tools. And it gives me hope!

With no judgements on anyone's healing journey, I also understand each person’s body is unique and will react differently to each treatment.

A main hardship of going through this route is having little, to no financial assistance to help families who decide to choose to help heal their bodies alternatively.  You have to go through conventional treatment in order to get financial assistance.

Because my insurance doesn't cover any of the treatments outside the "Standards”, I have to pay out of pocket for :
Scans
Blood tests
Supplements
Alternative treatments
Assembling a team of holistic health professionals to guide and support me for my well-being and building up my immune system.
These are just part of a long list of what to do.
(Early 2018-  An oxygen treatment in a mild-hyperbaric oxygen chamber that maximizes oxygen in my body)

At this point, I am in dire need of financial assistance, so you can imagine the huge financial, emotional and physical stress it creates when I am trying to support my family and protocol at the same time.

One of cancer’s hardest lessons is that it forced me out of my comfort zone through my circumstances. I usually like to do everything on my own and love helping others when I can; Therefore, I am learning to release the discomfort of asking for help and receiving help when necessary when it comes to healing.

In the past couple months, my health has declined and has almost left me immobile and  barely able to leave my home. It has prompted me to be diligent in ways to get the help I need.  I was informed that GoFundMe could possibly get me financial help.

All prior financial resources have been stretched thin between my living expenses, and now I have no way to save up for the treatments I need to start and continue my daily protocols.

As a single mom, I am raising two teens who are turning into incredible young men. Since my initial diagnosis, they both have been brave and supportive even through all the scares;
Especially my oldest, who still manages to muster strength and bring joy through it all while helping me out when I’m unwell!

Through it all, they both home school and are now in high school. One is a high school senior and the other is a sophomore. I can't believe it!

My oldest is in a college program, where he can get high school and college credit at the same time! While my youngest is in 10th grade and would like to pursue drawing as a career.

It brings me joy that they have a knack for music, film and video. I am excited to know where it will lead them as it is one of few things that strongly bonds all three of us.

I would love to live through my old age and see them grow into their best potentials and be there when they accomplish their goals in life such as see them graduate college, pursue their passions, get married, see my grandchildren and more!

Both have been able to support me in every way except financially. With the community’s aid, it will bring relief to my family and play an important role with moving forward towards my healing!

I share this not to fish for pity, but perhaps open awareness of other options to healing so others can decide what’s right for their body.

Thank you so much for allowing me to tell my story! If you are unable to help financially at this moment, please help by praying and sharing on social media with family and friends.  Everything is deeply appreciated and a great assistance!

Cancer's  hidden Gift to me is LOVE.

Changing my whole life by living and adapting a mindset of gratefulness and love by finding more joy in my life instead of dwelling too long in negative emotions.
