I'm writing to you about my daughters Rachelle and Rozsetta , who have bravely been fighting brain tumors . Rachelle diagnosed at the of 8 in February of 2004 an Roszetta at the of 15 in March of 2015. The girls were treated at St. Judes where the both went through vicious amounts of chemotherapy and radiation treatments killing the tumors.
Then, on March 8, 2018, just before her 19th birthday, Roszetta took a turn for the worst and unexpectedly went into a coma for a month. I constantly prayed my daughter would pull through. When she awoke, we were transferred to Atlanta Children’s Hospital, where she received extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy. She had lost 2 years of memories, thinking she was 17 years old when she woke up, and had to learn how walk, talk, and do daily life activities all over again. She was also left with extensive visual and hearing impairments, thyroid issues, permanent hair loss, severe daily fatigue. She will have to face additional surgeries in the future for her thyroid and vision.
Despite all that we have been through , we are faced with the same obstacles again. Not even a week apart both of my girls have had to have surgery again . On August 23,2019 Roszetta underwent a six hour surgery and was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. And, on September 3,2019 Rachelle underwent surgery for a brain tumor as well both at Centennial Childrens Hospital.
As there caretaker , any money raised will go towards the girls medical expenses and on going care. as well as offset the financial burden of time away from work. All donations, no matter how small, are deeply appreciated.
Please continue to pray for healing for the girls. We know a God who can do more than we can ask or imagine.
