Fundraising for Jimmys TBI Recovery

I’m raising money for my boyfriend Jimmy. At the end of June, an unimaginable event occurred. He was shot in the head and shoulder by stray bullets. He went through an emergency craniectomy. Following surgery, he was in the ICU in a medically induced coma for a week. He spent another 10 days in the hospital and eventually was transferred to an inpatient rehab center that specializes in traumatic Brian injuries. After a week there, he was finally able to come home. He has another surgery scheduled in September, a cranioplasty. Even After this traumatic experience, Jimmy has maintained high hopes and somehow hasn’t let this tragedy break his positive attitude. He is continuing to defy all odds. He is tenacious in working hard on both his physical and mental recovery. He is in an outpatient physical and speech therapy program, while also receiving counseling multiple days a week. He is the strongest person I have ever known and I am beyond inspired by his strength and perseverance. Despite all of this Jimmy is left with a more than significant amount of medical bills and still needs to pay rent, all while still being unable to work for the foreseeable future. I’m hoping this fundraising can give him a much needed break from the stress of this financial burden. Jimmy is caring and kindhearted. He is an amazing boyfriend who cherishes his loved ones, friends, and especially his pets. I’m so grateful for him and he means the world to me and so many others. He is a very special person and did not deserve this random act of violence. Any and all donations would be deeply appreciated.
