Help Her Smile Again–Urgent Jaw Surgery & Implants

I never thought I’d be writing this, but here we are—seeking help for the most incredible woman I know.

She has always had the most beautiful smile—not just because of her teeth, but because of the joy, kindness, and positivity she radiates. She is one of the happiest and most resilient people I’ve ever met, and she takes care of her teeth better than almost anyone. Yet, despite all of that, life has dealt her an unimaginable blow.

She has degenerative bone disease in her jaw, which has slowly taken away the confidence and happiness that once shined so brightly. Over the past few years, the shifting of her jaw has caused severe dental issues, leaving her in pain and heartbroken. Now, she faces the reality of needing a total jaw replacement—a surgery that could change her life, but one that comes with devastating consequences.

Here’s the heartbreaking part:

While her medical insurance might cover some of the jaw replacement surgery (we are still on the hook for at least $20,000), they refuse to cover the cost of replacing her teeth—which will be nearly all of them due to the extreme movement and damage. That means even after enduring this major surgery, she will be left without most of her teeth—unless we can find a way to cover the cost of implants, which will be at least $84,000.

I wish more than anything that I could write a check and take this burden away from her. But I can’t. And that crushes me. Seeing her struggle, watching her confidence fade, and knowing how mortified she is by this situation—it’s unbearable.

So, I’m asking for help. Anything you can contribute—big or small—will bring us one step closer to restoring not just her smile, but her confidence, her happiness, and her sense of self.
