Run for Breast Cancer

Life is full of challenges and some challenges, you don’t get to choose.

An amazing friend was dealt a difficult hand earlier this year when she received the devastating news she had been diagnosed with breast cancer which unfortunately had spread beyond. She has faced this challenge with unwavering courage, resilience and grit. An inspiration to the Run for Breast Cancer team and others.

Originally from Ireland, she has been living in Australia for nearly two decades and in that time, she has met her soulmate, had two gorgeous kids and has worked incredibly hard to build a great life out here for herself and her family.

Many people hold this individual in high regard, and in a gesture of solidarity and support, we've decided to step up and take on a challenge of our own.

On Sunday 17th September and Saturday 23rd September, a team of family & friends from Australia and Ireland will join forces to participate in both the Sydney Marathon and Dublin Half Marathon. Each one of us are taking on various distances, including 10km, half marathon, and full marathon. Please sponsor us.

Our collective goal is not only to demonstrate our support and love for our great friend but also to raise funds that will make a tangible difference in her fight against breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. A hospital dedicated to treating cancer, while providing immense support & care to patients and their loved ones throughout their journey. ❤️

Knowing our friend so well, we know she will look to get through this as independently as she can, which she is capable of! However, we also know that so many people want to show their support so we hope this fundraiser is something that you can get behind.
