NEW ALBUM COMING 2018 WITH YOUR SUPPORT

I'm very excited to be recording a new album at a great studio with amazing people. This is my first American recording effort since my recent move to Texas. I miss my Canadian home and friends and family, (And there are some very special Canadian guests on this record) but it's been amazing to get to know a new place and all the talented people in it. I can't wait to share these new sounds and stories with you, and your help in getting this project off the ground means the world to me!!

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
I spent the last year saving up enough money to do the bulk of the recording, including studio, musician and production fees.

$5000 will contribute to the completion of the album, including 2 more days in the studio, mixing, mastering, artwork, and manufacturing CDs.

WHAT IF I SURPASS MY GOAL?

If I surpass my goal by $500 I will be able to make a great live video

If I surpass my goal by $2500 I will also be able to print vinyl

If I surpass my goal by $5000 I will be able to make a live video, print vinyl, and make a fancy video (with multiple cameras, actors, story, the real deal)

If I surpass my goal by $10,000 I will turn into a freaking unicorn

*Note to project backers: All backers will receive the digital album (please provide email address), and all backers $20 and up will receive the physical CD (please provide shipping address - unless otherwise requested)*

GIVE ME WHAT I WANT is a raw and real Americana album that skirts folk, rock and pop. The songs tell classic stories in a modern age from love and lust, to enchantment and disenchantment, and that constant search for fulfillment.

PUBLIC HIFI (The studio built and owned by Austin rock star, Jim Eno, of the band Spoon), is full of great gear, vibes and sounds. It is such a treat to work here.

BRAD BELL (ENGINEER/TONE MASTER) has worked with Spoon, Arcade Fire, Meat Puppets, The War on Drugs and many more, and is over all, a super nice guy who knows how to get all the sweet tones.

ELIJAH FORD (PRODUCTION/GUITARS/EXTRAS) hit the road at age 17 playing guitar with his father Marc Ford (The Black Crowes, Ben Harper) before joining Grammy/Oscar winner Ryan Bingham's band. During his time with The Dead Horses, he recorded on two albums - 'Roadhouse Sun' & 'Junky Star' (the latter produced by T-Bone Burnett). As a solo artist, Elijah has released 2 albums and an EP. His most recent, 'As You Were' was produced by Stew Jackson (Massive Attack, Phantom Limb). Elijah's work as a producer includes Red Shahan's debut 'Men & Coyotes' as well as his upcoming album 'Culberson County', set for release on Thirty Tigers early 2018.
His dance moves are on point, and more importantly, he is a great collaborator who understands how to help me take the ideas from my brain into reality.

CHRIS KONTE (BASS) is deeply rooted in the Austin music scene as a performer, session player, producer and songwriter. His original works have been featured on TV and radio in the US and Europe. Some of his current bands are Sharks In The Deep End, Elijah Ford & the Bloom and Jonny Burke. Chris is also a music teacher, a writer, cooks every day, plays a lot of basketball and is there if you need him.

JASON BACZYNSKI (DRUMS/PERCUSSION) "Baczynski is a free spirit on drums, swelling the space with robust action...."(Cadence Jazz Magazine). Formerly of Tacks, the Boy Disaster and Jonathan Doyle's Swingtet, Jason now plays with Carson McHone, Elijah Ford & the Bloom, Devan Jones & the Uptown Stomp, and the Whit Smith (Hot Club of Cowtown) Trio featuring Emily Gimble (Asleep at the Wheel) and Kevin Smith (Willie Nelson).

SPECIAL GUESTS

TIM REGAN (KEYS/SYNTHS/JOKES ALL DAY LONG) A master of whatever he gets his hands on, nobody gets shit done like Tim Regan.

SAM KOSSLER (PEDAL STEEL) Nice sounds, nice guy, nice moves on the skateboard.

LEIGH WALLENHAUPT (STRINGS) A true knockout in everything she does.

SWEET ALIBI (VOCALS) Winnipeg's songbirds, Jess Rae Ayre, Amber Nielsen, and Michelle Anderson, were made to sing together and I am lucky to have them grace this record

DAVE QUANBURY (GUITAR/ENGINEER IN CANADA) One of my favorite people and musicians, and the person responsible for putting me in safe and loving hands in Texas.
