It’s Sadaqah Jariyah!
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]
Building a mosque is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah! The reward for building a mosque is unending, and as long as people are benefiting from the mosque you’ve helped build then you will continue to receive rewards from Allah (SWT) even in the Hereafter.
The benefits of building a mosque are plain as day if you think of all the rewards you will receive for every single prayer made in your mosque!

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa ta'ala) reward you by the Wasilla of his beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Aleyhi Wasallam). Building masjids is among the continuous charities (sadaqah jariyyah) that their reward continues even after the person’s death. Our Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Aleyhi Wasallam) said,“When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, and pious child who prays for him.” (Muslim).
Running and sustaining a mosque is an already difficult and strenuous task. We are now embarking on a landmark renovation project to finally give our center a proper Mosque architecture. We are pleased to announce an exciting project undertaken by your own Spiritual Society Canada.
We need your support for this project and services for the community, and to help promote the beautiful, peaceful message of Islam. The generous donations given by people such as yourself have been crucial to our success, by the blessings of Allah.
In Sha Allah, the new majestic and picturesque architecture will not only be an artistic addition to the community but pride for us all. The New project will bring the following exciting improvements to the Mosque for the community:
• A beautified mosque structure
• Complete and brand-new funeral services facility
• Nikah services (Marriage)
• Extended/enhanced/new/beautified prayer space for men and women
• Better classroom for religious education facilities for children to learn Islam, Sunnah, Arabic, Hifz, and Akidah Curriculum
• Full-Time Alim classes
• New washrooms and wudu facilities for men and women
• Lots of state of good repair activities (leaking roof, aging doors and windows, deteriorating ceiling and outside walls) to bring current aging infrastructure up to standards
• A foundation & a great benefit for the forthcoming generations
• Summer activities for students
• Community counseling
We want to be able to achieve even more as a community, and leave a legacy that will bear fruits in the Hereafter, In Sha Allah.
The Mosque is still in need of 70% of the funding for this new project. It also has to meet significant running costs: at present, the cost for salaries, facilities, water, electricity, gas, security, cleaning, and maintenance comes to approximately $200,000 per year!
