STOP Dresden's Landfill Dump Recycling Facility

Donation protected
We need your help to fight off York1 from opening a garbage Dump/ Mega Landfill and installing their mega dump less than 1 km from this historic town, schools and businesses.
All funds raised will be going towards paying all the Hydrogeologist, Geologists and Scientific teams and Experts which we require to ensure York1 follows all the rules in all of their Environmental Assessment reports which we have been successful in getting them to complete before they can try finishing installing this unwanted dump in Dresden.
Dresden is an amazing historical town with so much beautiful agricultural land and home to the original Uncle Tom's Cabin.
We need your donations for help with lawyer fees, environmental specialists, geologists, Lobbyists, printing petitions, and so much more.
We need to stop this from happening less than 1 km from Dresden and the Environmental paradise of Molly's Creek and the Sydenham River, which is home to over 80 endangered species and species at risk.
Please consider donating to our fund and STOP this horrible dump /Landfill from opening so close to our town.
Ontario's bill 197 states landfills can't open 3.5 km from any town . This is less than 1 km away.
Do you want to eat Ontario's corn and tomatoes or fish, layden with asbestos or grown in poison leachate?
Please consider donating to save our town, as well this environmental paradise that is home to SO many wonderful endangered species.

My name is Thomas and our community members need your help. We are seeking donations to stop York1 from opening a huge 24 hour / 7 days a week operating Landfill / Garbage Dump just 1 km from residential homes and schools in Dresden Ontario.

Dresden is an agricultural community in southwestern Ontario, Canada, and is part of the municipality of Chatham-Kent. It is located on the Sydenham River.
It is the only major watershed that lies completely in the Canadian Carolinian Life Zone and it supports this amazing diversity of aquatic life and an incredible variety of wildlife, also known as biodiversity. At least 80 species of fish and at least 34 mussel species all call the Sydenham River home.
More than 20 fish, turtles and mussels in Sydenham River are Species that are endangered and at Risk (SAR).
The watershed also supports many other semi-aquatic SAR including amphibians, reptiles, queen snakes, dragonflies and honey bees.
Some of which these species are found nowhere else in Canada or remain in only few locations globally.
The history of Dresden is well known because Dresden had a rich black history where American slaves escaped to freedom to arrive at the historic Uncle Tom’s cabin.
Our town can’t imagine that for Black History month, YORK1 has decided to quietly try to set up a dump / landfill facility, on top of a rich ecological beautiful piece of agricultural zoned land that is habitat to so many endangered species.
Molly's Creek wetlands, which is also a biodiverse area and is home to many of our endangered species, runs through the south east part of this proposed landfill area, which flows less than 1 km directly into the Sydenham River.

York1 is a huge conglomerate corporation and is taking advantage of a site that had a 50 year old grandfathered license because It is not an expansion of a dump site, it is a new complete landfill site that would not even fall under Ontario's Bill 197.
Ontario's Bill 197 states any new landfill / garbage dump should be 3.5 km away from any residential towns and York1 is proposing to open 1 km away from this historical town of 2900 residents.
Our infrastructure and ecological environment can not handle that many huge, heavy trucks with diesel emissions, on our roads, so taxpayers will be footing the bill to continually have to repair these roads for York1 to use.

Landfill are one of the main causes of climate change and are partially responsible for global warming as they generate and release bio-gas into the atmosphere. Bio-gas is a mixture formed primarily of methane gas (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂), two of the gasses that cause climate change and an increase in the planet's temperature.
This project can not happen this close to Dresden, let alone in this ecological paradise where there are so many endangered species already at risk.

This proposal from YORK1 will be a new project site that residents feel do not have proper regulations in place for what York1 intends, so close to our homes, and schools and having it this close to town will only cause death to this town, the people and the environment as well native species of endangered animals and aquatic life.
What nobody is focusing on is that property values will drop and everyone in Dresden can become very ill with cancers, and other major illnesses that come with living beside a garbage dump / landfill, recycling transfer station, because we all will be breathing in asbestos, and methane gasses as that is what they say in their proposal they will be accepting, and ultimately producing as all landfills produce methane gasses.

We are seeking monetary donations to restoring justice in our community, advocating to protect the community and our environment, pay for geologists and lobbyist, renting large spaces for rally's and events, media and radio advertising, petitions, pay for printing signs, printing newsletters, permits, hiring organizers, digital media and lawyers and pay for supplies based on the specific needs for our volunteers.
