SPPAG SVA Pennies & pounds make great playgrounds!
Our village playground is in desperate need of refurbishment and it has sadly been closed until further notice.
The land does not belong to South Lakeland District Council, it is owned by our village and managed by the Staveley Village Association, a registered charity (523078) which is run by local volunteers, and its members are the trustees for this land.
The responsibility to raise funds to refurbish the playground lies with our local community. Staveley Playground and Pumptrack Action Group (SPPAG) is a small group of volunteers who are supporting the work of the SVA.
To get the playground reopened quickly we're looking to phase the development. (These figures are subject to change as the project progresses).
Phase 1 - £80,000 HAS BEEN ACHIEVED! The completion of this phase means the park will reopen in Spring 2022.
Phase 2 - £40,000 (subject to change). The remainder of the park.
Phase 3 - £ TBC. The pump track and pathways.
Staveley playground is at the heart of our village. It is a fantastic meeting place for children and adults to socialise, play and make memories with family and friends. We want to create a safe, multigenerational space for everyone to enjoy, where our children can continue to be active and challenged, and our community can feel connected to one another. Thank you for your ongoing support and donations.
We really do appreciate every penny.
