Meet the Salo family.
Les & Jean:
Two of the most caring and selfless people you might ever meet. Through the years they have bent over backwards and given the shirt off their backs to many poor souls down on their luck and without a home. Given them shelter, food, counsel and much love as they've helped them get back on their feet despite the fact that they never had a whole lot themselves, but that never stopped them from lending a helping hand.
Living with them now is their Daughter Aubrey, a single mother with her two children Josie, and Cordelia:
Now unfortunately the tides have changed and this family of five are being forced out of thier home. A few days ago the landlord sold it from under them and the new owners won't let them stay. They now have less than 22 days to vacate the property. The place they have called home for nearly 30 years.
Les has been an incredibly hard worker his whole life and always gone above and beyond the call of duty. However the last 4 years he has fallen ill and unable to work and trying for government assistance has been an uphill battle to no avail. His supporting wife Jean has been the sole provider for the family and they have been struggling from paycheck to paycheck. They have exhausted all of their investments and savings just to stay afloat. This couldn't come at a worse time.
In the 30 years that they have been there they have opened their doors to more people without a home than I can count. Now the tables have turned and they need our help to keep them off the streets.
Please help rescue the Salo Family. Any donation is welcome. We intend to find them a new home, a better home. The money that is raised here will be used as a down payment on that house. It is urgent that we reach our goal before the end of July 2016. Our goal is ten thousand, but we hope to far exceed it with your help! :)
Your donation means a great deal and the Salo family will be eternally grateful for your help. Thank you so very much and God bless!
UPDATE:
Their new landlords gave them a 15 day extension to move out. Also a family friend just bought a piece of property that has a home on it that he is willing to let them stay temporarily at the same price they are paying now! Praise God! Thank you all for your donations!
A new house is still the plan so the fund will remain open for those of you that would still like to help the Salo family save up for a more permanent residence that they will be moving into in the very near future. Thank you all again and keep sharing!
