I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.
Romans 8:18
On the morning of January 2nd, the Lord saw fit to put an end to Sam's suffering and welcomed him Home. Today, his amazing wife, their families, and all of us share in the sufferings that are found in this imperfect life. The pain is real, the timing incomprehensible, and yet there is HOPE.
Over the last several months, we have hoped. Amy and their families faithfully waited by his side each day hoping for the best. We have all prayed, prayed that the Lord would restore his body to health. We have reached out, reached out to the family and to each other. The Lord has been at work in our hearts during this tragic time, just as He has been at work in Sam's heart. And there is our hope, our peace that passes all human understanding.
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through who we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the HOPE of the glory of God. Not only so, be we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, HOPE."
