Samantha and Ellens NHS fundraiser
Donation protected
Hello, our names are Samantha and Ellen and we are 13 years old. We are year 8 students who are best friends. We both enjoy entertaining and performing and love to see people smile, which is why this campaign is so important to us.
Over our Easter break from online school, we decided we wanted to do as much as we could, as part of the younger generation, to try and make even a little bit of difference to some of the people who are still going to work and saving lives in times like these. Our aim for this fundraiser is to hopefully bring a little bit of light in the world of darkness and uncertainty currently.
We want to raise money to provide support for NHS workers at Darent Valley hospital. Our target is £1,500 which we are hoping to hit as soon as possible.
The money we give to the hospital is going to be used for providing resources or anything to help with supporting the wellbeing and mental health of their staff. We have seen on the hospitals Instagram page that they are looking to set up a wellbeing space for the staff and we think that the money should go towards items to go in there.
After all of this is over, most of the staff are going to be affected by what they’ve seen and the state of some of their patients. Obviously, they will never fully forget that image, but we would like to at least try and ease their minds a little.
To raise money, we will be completing daily challenges on our Instagram page (@nhs_fundraiser_smile13). Some will be done over a live stream and some will just be photos/videos. This page is there so we can reach as many people as possible to help reach our target. We will be completing these challenges on the following days:
Monday- Circuit challenge
Tuesday- Sponsored bake- give the creations to our key workers in our family's to take to work
Wednesday- Random act of kindness
Thursday- Learn something new and 5k run or bike ride
Friday- Live sign language challenge
Please donate anything you can as even the smallest donation can make a difference. Thank you!
