Northern Provincial Hospital Santo
Donation protected
Halo!
We are a group of Midwifery, Nursing and Paramedicine students from the Australian Catholic University. We have been afforded an amazing opportunity to embark on a study tour - and will be working alongside local health care professionals and learning from the generous NiVan community during our time at the Northern Provincial Hospital in Santo, Vanuatu.
Vanuatu is a very resource poor nation with little funding available for public health and hospitals, and has experienced even greater needs following the devastating Cyclone Pam in 2015. The Northern Provincial Hospital relies heavily on foreign aid and medical staff, operating with very basic equipment and resources with the local residents not afforded the essential health care that we are used to in our own Australian health services and hospitals.
We are therefore calling on our generous and big-hearted friends, family and colleagues, and our extraordinary wider business and communities to consider donating and helping us work towards our fundraising goal of $5000 to purchase much needed essential medical equipment and supplies for the hospital and the people of Santo, Vanuatu.
Please note: all personal travel costs incurred by students are paid by the students themselves. Therefore ALL fundraising efforts will go directly to the Northern Provincial Hospital in Santo.
Even a small contribution will make a huge difference! If you are able to donate any items or materials please contact us. Thank-you so much for your donation!
