Sarah Sutton Family Support Fund
On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Sarah Sutton lost her life in a tragic accident outside of her new home. Sarah was a single mother of two daughters, ages 13 and 15, and she was the Director of Associate Services at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia. At the resort, Sarah was known for her unwavering enthusiasm and vibrant personality. She cared deeply for her Homestead family and worked tirelessly to help those affected by COVID-19.
My name is Kathy Woodzell. Robin Robbins and I started this fundraiser for the benefit of Sarah’s family. All donations will be transferred to a private bank account set up for Patricia Kay, Sarah’s mother, who has custody of Sarah’s children.
The family moved to Hot Springs in early 2019 and had purchased a home about 10 days before Sarah’s death. Sarah’s mother and other relatives live in Sarah’s native England and traveling to the U.S. with the current travel restrictions and COVID concerns has been especially difficult. Following Sarah’s death, Robin and I, two members of her Homestead family, have been assisting Patricia while she prepares to return to England with the girls.
They will also be bringing their beloved pet, Leia, a Bernedoodle. Originally, the family had planned to relocate all three of their precious pets, however due to space restrictions in their new home, two of their dogs have been re-homed through the assistance of the Old English Sheep Dog Rescue Society.
The need for financial assistance is urgent and significant. The family’s immediate concerns are the costly travel plans and funeral expenses. In the long term, the girls will need monetary support for the basics such as clothes, food, school, and healthcare.
Nothing can replace the loss of their mother, but if you are able to make a donation, no matter how small, it would be a tremendous help to these two young girls as they try to recover from this tragedy.
