Our Daughters Battle with malignant Lymphoma

Our vibrant 8 year old daughter stopped eating in August. Her mother took her to the doctor multiple times to be turned away, saying it was probably acid reflux. 2 months passed. She lost 20 pounds and became pale and after going back off food, took her to another pediatrician who caught the symptoms immediately! 

symptoms: weight loss, night sweats, vomiting bile, exhaustion.

Friday October 25, 2019 she had a a sono at Effingham hospital, mid way through the technician stood up and excused herself and said she was calling Peditrician to see if she needed anythingelse. She than sent us home and saiddoctor would call shortly. Before mom even arrived home the call came from the doctor, “are you alone? Can you get to someone and call me back?” Upon arriving home we had the call we all fear, “I believe your daughter has cancer!” 

She was direct admitted into the children’s hospital in Savannah. Test were performed, cat scan confirmed aggressive lesions in the liver (very enlarged and choking out her stomach and organs) lesions in spleen, on lungs and kidneys. 

surgery Saturday the 29th (Savannah 9th Bday) for larpascopy exploration and biopsy. Test came back cancer, than the wait to find out the kind. The ruling is stage 3 malignant lymphoma, B-Cell, potentially burkitts. She is now a long term patient of atleast 6 months. We are rejoicing it is not in Brain, spinal or Marrow, but it is advanced in her mid area causing her unable to eat. 

we are a family of 6, and a very close family unit. Mom homeschool and raises all 4 childrenand dad works at Gulfstream. Due to the current situation our family is an hour apart, and kids see their sister on the weekend. insurance is a High deductible insurance. Income is lost, bills are high, plus transportation to and from the hospital for dad to see us every evening.
