Help Former Dancer WALK AGAIN #Noodlescomeback

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
We’d like to introduce you to our wonderful friend, Alicia, affectionately known as ‘Noodle’. A remarkable dancer, and one of the most positive and resilient people we’ve ever known. For over 20 years, she has been battling with a terrible autoimmune disease in which, even the slightest move can tear her tendons. Now, after 23 years of fighting back and on the precipice of gaining independence, fate has dealt her another cruel blow with a horrible accident that took that away in an instant .
We love Alicia, and we hope you are inspired to help in any way you can. This is her incredible story and how you can help.

Alicia started dancing at the age of four with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Her talent and hard work paid off when she earned a full scholarship at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet at the age of fourteen. Alicia's natural gift for dancing and her relentless dedication, propelled her career to new heights, landing leading dance roles such as Victoria in the Broadway tour of Cats.

In the year 2000, Alicia's life took a drastic turn when she was diagnosed with two rare auto-immune diseases: polymyositis, a complex connective tissue disease, and Systemic Lupus. These debilitating illnesses rapidly deteriorated her once strong dancer's body, ending her career and leaving her bedridden.
Despite this devastating setback, Alicia has remained resilient, determined, and filled with an infectious positivity.
Years of physical therapy, chemotherapy, infusions and nightly pool therapy were paying off. Through sheer grit and hard work she gradually made progress, and was able to get out of bed with assistance, bathe and dress herself.
Alicia had been on an upward trajectory, slowly regaining her autonomy and movement year over year. She was gaining back some independence , walking 2 miles a day, hosting guests, cooking and cleaning with joy.
However, in December of 2023, a routine walk turned catastrophic when she tripped on the sidewalk. Unable to use her arms to break her fall, she fell face first onto the pavement. The impact left her with multiple broken bones. torn tendons, shattered teeth, and devastating injuries. She spent over a month in the hospital , enduring surgeries and has not been able to stand since. She is once again confined to a bed.

The financial burden of medical bills, around-the-clock care, and specialized equipment is staggering. With expenses totaling over $200,000 a year (see itemized expenses below) Alicia’s ability to reclaim her independence and mobility hinges on our support.

Join us in supporting Alicia by donating and sharing her story widely with your friends and family. Any donation no matter what size , will make a huge impact in helping her to reclaim her life . Your generosity, kindness, and compassion will make all the difference in her journey to recovery.

Alicia’s story is one of resilience, courage, and unwavering determination. She refuses to let her circumstances define her and is determined to make a triumphant comeback if given the chance. Let’s ensure that "Noodle" has the resources she needs to walk again.

Thank you so very much for your support.

With Heartfelt Gratitude,
The Many People Who Love and Admire Noodle <3
