Save Charity MADE from closure
Want to help support diverse creative talent to develop skills, experience and connections to make it in the film & video production industry?
Want to see more faces like you and experience authentic stories from people not usually seen in film & TV?
The creative industries of the UK are massively underrepresented and Make A Difference Entertainment along with Rainbow Films are committed to help change that.
I'm Blaise Singh Project Manager and workshop facilitator at MADE (see what we're all about and watch our previous work).
Over the last five years I've worked with over 500 young people to provide them with the tools, confidence and platforms to make work that will increase their career readiness and challenge prejudices that may exist about their community.
Since MADE is a registered charity we normally rely on grant income - however that has understandibly been re-prioritised to support the COVID-19 crisis. Our last three funding applications have been rejected because of this and we are currently struggling to stay operating.
We're seeking funds to continue our project work and any donation will help make an impact. MADE has a proven track record and is looking for support to continue the impact past these troubling times.
We are particularly interested in continuing work with the BAME/LGBTQ Rainbow Films project participants.
Our previous film was an official selection at BFI Flare and we plan to tour it once schools, colleges and universities re-open. You can watch the trailer for Pride & Protest here.
Your contributions will enable MADE to stay open in the coming months to provide our service users with a safe space, creative outlet, FREE workshops, access to production equipment, regular organised events and a developing social media platform and screening opportunities to reach the wider community.
It will allow the Rainbow Films project to continue the great work they have started in challenging stereotypes, reducing stigma and increasing visability.
ALL FUNDS will go directly to the charity MADE (registered 1166076) and will be used for film projects and operating costs in the coming months.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
