Marco Polo Pizza Revamp We need your help

Dear Friends and Pizza Lovers,

We have updated our fundraiser to address a more pressing issues. It will continue with Franchises for Families in the future.

We are the proud new owners of Marco Polo Pizza, a black and family owned local restaurant that goes far beyond a pizzeria. We are located in the Festival Food Strip mall in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota hidden in the nook of Hwy 252 and 85th Ave . Since taking over almost a year ago, we’ve been dedicated to serving our community with delicious, high-quality pizza, soul food, African food and exceptional service.

However, we are facing some challenges that threaten the future of our business. We have an outstanding financial obligation, our walk-in cooler and air filter system are in urgent need of repair, and we need to hire two full-time employees to keep up with the demand during the busy winter season.

At Marco Polo Pizza, our mission goes beyond serving great food. We are committed to providing employment opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. In fact, 70% of our employees have a disability, and for many of them, Marco Polo Pizza is their first job. We work closely with each employee to identify their strengths and weaknesses, helping them develop a growth plan that aligns their job skills with real-life applications. Our goal is to give every employee the chance to reach management skills and income, making them not just employees, but part of our Marco Polo family.

3. Continue our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities through meaningful employment. (goal of having every employee at our small business earn $15 starting wage and up)
