Your donation is URGENTLY needed! Shadarobah Horse Rescue will be shut down unless funds are raised immediately! Shadarobah has provided a second chance to over 200 horses since its inception in 2008. The rescue, renowned in the greater Fort Wayne community, must either buy-out its current lease or purchase new property by the week of March 17. Please help us keep the barn doors open and save the 40+ horses that are currently being rehabilitated! Visit us at www.shadarobah.com
Shadarobah is funded completely by community donations and staffed entirely by an army of volunteers from the greater Fort Wayne Indiana area. Volunteers have a profound commitment and show up daily to muck...to groom...to feed...to fundraise... to answer the phones - the list goes on and on.
Today there are over 40 horses who are in the process of being rehabilitated.
- Glory was taken out of a slaughter pen
- Ellis was abandoned & wandering the fair grounds
- Azlan was so malnurished he could not stand
- Jay County brought in 4 horses found in poor conditions
While there are days when everyone is dirty, tired and overwhelmed by the need, each time one of these beautiful animals finds their forever home it makes it all worth it.
Even in the most dire of circumstances it is amazing how help can come from genuine, caring people within the community.
Please help SAVE the rescue! Shadarobah is a 501(c) non-profit.
