Fighting for Alex

Dear Friends & Family,
Sharing this story has been deeply personal and has become a blessing in and of itself... if this battle has taught me one thing... it is that my God truly works all things for good...
You have got to meet Alex. She a dedicated mother, wife and most amazing leader in her career. But, on December 29, 2014 I received a call from my son to tell me that my daughter-in-law had been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer and a tumor the size of a tennis ball in her lower uterus. That’s how we ended 2014 and started 2015.
The first thing that came to mind was their 3 girls, Allison 12, Natalie 11 and Nadya 7. How do you tell these girls that their mother is very sick and will be for some months? Well had to come together as a family and give the report. What amazing girls. The only thing they told me as their grandmother was “We don’t want mommy to die, help us Abby” and tears came to my eyes. So young my grand daughters need their mom now more than ever.
On Friday January 2, 2015 we had the First Emergency appointment with the Oncologist. That’s when she confirmed the diagnosis and the importance of starting chemotherapy and radiation immediately. How difficult it was to receive this news. My son almost fainted to hear what the doctor was saying and to see the pain his wife has been going through.
The next week my darling Alex had to go for an MRI and of course her medical insurance is not a good one so they had to $600.00 out of pocket. The next one is $3,000.00 and from their the expenses keep piling. Radiation, MRI, Chemo, and Doctor visits.
We ask for your help in saving this mother, wife and daughter very dear to all of our hearts.
We rejoice knowing in the miracle God will do in her life.
