Save Mott's Market on Capitol Hill
Donation protected
Support a community-owned corner store on Capitol Hill! Donating even a small amount will make a difference in preserving Mott’s Market at 233 12th Street SE, which has been a part of our neighborhood for more than a century.
Last year the building sold, forcing the market to close. A coalition of more than 75 neighbors banded together to buy back the historic building, renovate it, and turn it into a local market and community gathering place for neighbors and anyone across the city who wants to visit.
We have a great market operator ready to lease the space and re-open Mott’s Market, ensuring it can continue to serve the community for years to come. To stay on schedule and reopen by Summer 2024 we need a few more donations to get us over the finish line. Can you help?
We hope you’ll join us in preserving this historic corner of Washington DC’s Capitol Hill!
