Save the Chelsea Theater

The Chelsea Theater has been showing great independent films since 1990, but the owner is retiring when his lease expires at the end of March.  A group of Chapel Hill residents are hoping to carry on the mission of the Chelsea by starting a nonprofit membership supported organization. We want to continue showing first run independent films and possibly add regional and international live event programming. This model has been successful in other parts of the country.
