Save VIP’s Cafe COVID-19 Relief Fundraiser
Dear VIP’s Cafe Patrons & San Fernando Valley Community -
The COVID-19 crisis has affected us all, some more than others, but all of us nonetheless. It’s especially hard for small businesses like VIP’s Cafe whom rely on us to remain in business. Paul & Lucy (Owners of VIP’s Cafe in Tarzana) have worked hard to provide us with great service, great food, and most of all a great experience every time we walk through their doors. Their Staff has been with them for decades and the community and fellowship is second to none. So much so it became known as UCLA Coach John Wooden’s favorite coffee shop. Since then celebrities from all sectors of sports and entertainment have dined at VIP’s! In addition to John Wooden having his favorite booth memorialized and his own special on the menu; If you’ve ever dined in, you’ve seen the countless photos of Paul & Lucy with people such as Dave Grohl, Tony Hawk, James Caan, and many more!
Paul & Lucy face the grim and grave reality that they may have to close VIP’s if unable to receive small business emergency loans along with a lack of patronage by us, the community. As many of you may know, Paul closed (like many of us) Mid-March due to Stay At Home orders issued by the State of California. He and his amazing Staff have been out of work since. On May 11, 2020 Paul decided to resume business for takeout with abbreviated hours of 9 AM - 3 PM. Like many, reopening when people in the community think you’re closed is difficult to bounce back from. With 2 months of no income it’s extremely difficult to “catch up” and make rent, buy food, bring staff back on payroll, and pay utilities in order to operate. That’s where we can help!
As a small token of our gratitude for being a staple in the Valley since 1997, let’s come together as a community to help them during these difficult times. Please consider making a small donation and/or ordering for takeout so we can collectively build a fund of cash flow for Paul and the Staff to survive and continue to bring us that amazing service, great food (at an affordable price), and most importantly family/community atmosphere that IS VIP’s. I know times are tough for everyone, some more than others so please give what you can, if you can.
