Saving Sandra

My name is Stephen, and I am a father of six beautiful children, facing the challenges of disability while striving to provide for my family and maintain a stable home. All our children are grown, but some, with special needs, continue to be in our care. Recently, we encountered a crisis when mold was discovered in our kitchen and walls, leading us to take out a loan for repairs. This, however, isn't about me, or our kids – it's about my wife, Sandra.
Sandra, the heart of our family, had to make the difficult decision to leave her career as a dental assistant this past summer, due to a Triple Negative Breast Cancer diagnosis, stage 3C. Now, she is fighting for her life and going through the strongest chemo treatment available, and is scheduled for a partial mastectomy, followed by radiation.
Sandra returned to work 15 years ago to support us when we were on the brink of losing our home due to my disability. Her recent diagnosis has brought not only emotional strain, but also a crushing financial burden, jeopardizing our home once again.
She was on contract-to-hire, with no health or disability insurance when diagnosed. Sandra's medical expenses have snowballed, and our savings and retirement funds had already been previously depleted due to my disability. We're reaching out in this time of need, seeking support to continue Sandra's treatments without the worry of losing our home in the process.
All donations will be used for medical bills, supplements and paying off high-interest debts from necessary house repairs (including mold remediation). Sandra is currently finishing up chemotherapy, and her treatment plan extends for another year of immunotherapy, along with surgery that is expected to happen in April, followed by daily radiation treatments. Your donations will not only ease our immediate financial struggles but will also enable Sandra to explore all possible and potential remedies to complement conventional treatments.
Now, if you know Sandra as I do, then you know she is an old soul and emotional intercessor who has spent nearly 30 years caring for others. She's always been a devoted mother to her former stepchildren, who to this day continue to call her mom, just as mine do. She has always been a pillar of strength for our blended family and continues to raise the bar for the rest of, even going through this. She selflessly sacrificed her dental assisting career in 2000 to be a stay-at-home mom when we added our own children.
While facing challenges with my special needs son, Sandra volunteered at his school, ensuring he received the support he needed to graduate high school and become a joy-filled, employed adult. Her considerate nature extends to everyone around her, always thinking ahead with thoughtful gestures and acts of kindness.
Sandra's recent diagnosis has reignited her zest for life and deepened her spiritual connection. She now desires to overcome this battle, not only for herself but to inspire hope and encouragement in others. Her bright light has had a profoundly impactful influence on all of those around her. Your support, be it donations, prayers, or simply reposting this on your social media platforms, is invaluable. Please, do so knowing that every act of kindness, big or small, is beyond appreciated. Any donations above our goal will be forwarded to “Share The Burden Ministries”, who’ve been helping us out from the beginning, even before we had a clue how much we needed it, and they continue to help others like us, regularly!
Thank you for standing with us on this challenging journey. Updates will follow, and may God bless you abundantly.
With gratitude,
Stephen
