Chenoa Nickerson "See the Good" Legacy Fund
Donation protected
In loving memory of my wife, Chenoa Nickerson, our family has decided to continue her legacy by partnering with Christ Greenfield School in Gilbert, AZ.
Chenoa tragically passed away in August 2024 while we were hiking together in the Grand Canyon.
Chenoa had a passion for theater and performing arts. She performed all throughout her school years and loved Broadway. Her favorite thing to do with her step-daughters was to take them to the local Hale Theater and experience the magic of live theater. She was constantly singing in our home and belting out Disney songs at the top of her lungs while driving with the kids in the car.
My youngest daughter, Avery, is currently a 3rd grader at Christ Greenfield and, due to Chenoa's influence, she has a desire to join the theater team at the school next year.
100% of donations will go directly to the Christ Greenfield Vocal and Theater Arts program.
There is a private donor who heard about this fund and has agreed to a dollar for dollar MATCH up to $50,000. Therefore, if this fund hits the goal, we will be able to make a donation of $100,000.
The Nickerson Family will also be donating an additional $6,000 that was raised in a separate fund.
Funds will be used for any upgrades to equipment, renovations, set materials, costumes, or just overall budgetary needs.
There will be an annual "Chenoa Nickerson - See The Good" award given out to a deserving student every year in her honor along with a memorial plaque placed on the wall just outside of the theater telling Chenoa's story. As the theater is renovated in the coming years, there are plans to add 2 practice rooms behind the stage. One of the rooms will be named the "Chenoa Nickerson Practice Room".
Thank you for keeping Chenoa's song alive and for being a part of her journey. Let us come together to celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the impact she had on everyone she met. Chenoa's light will forever shine bright in our hearts.
