CPD Sergeant Chis Morris: Accident Medical Recovery Fund
On August 22, 2021, Chris Morris and his 9 year-old daughter were traveling back to Columbia, SC from a softball tournament in Mt. Pleasant when they were in a terrible car accident. His daughter received moderate injuries and is currently in the pediatric intensive care unit. Chris, on the other hand, experienced significant injuries. He lost a large amount of blood and had to receive multiple transfusions. Both of his legs and arms are broken, along with his wrists, hands, and clavicle. He is currently in the ICU and has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
Chris has dedicated his life to service. A 17-year veteran with the Columbia Police Department, Sgt. Morris is known for his energetic, enthusiastic personality. His love for connecting with his community is infectious. In addition to his work as a police officer, Chris is a dedicated dad to his daughter and two sons.
Chris has given so much to so many over the years and now he needs our help.
