So many of you have asked what you can do to help the Anderson family! We have created this page to help! Please continue to read to get the full story and what steps the family will need help with moving forward! First and foremost, please continue to pray!
Shawn is a 45 year old active guy, but on Friday night his world changed. Friday he felt normal & fine all day long, as he was getting ready for bed he instantly started having the worse chest pains ever. Jennifer got him an aspirin. Shawn stood up, went weak in the legs, started sweating and turned white. Jennifer rushed him to the ER where they found out that the the inner wall lining of his Aorta in the "B" section had ripped and blood was pumping through the tear causing incredible pain. The doctors said Shawn had been doing everything right, but this event was an unlucky circumstance that can be caused due to high blood pressure. All kinds of surgeons & doctors came in Saturday morning and they decided to transfer him to a top heart specialty hospital.
His blood pressure was extremely high due to the pain level which causes additional complications. The high blood pressure can cause the tear to rupture. The doctors used words like "this is very serious". They transferred him and the doctors are trying to keep his pain down, giving him medication to keep his blood pressure very low. He has been in ICU at both hospitals.
The doctors told them if it had ruptured it would have been fatal.
The complication the family is now facing:
#1-Control it as much as possible by medication to keep further damage, which long term could weaken the Aorta wall and cause it to bulge.
#2-Surgery and put in a stint. This is risky because of the location of the tear. If they put a stint in and it goes over valves that lead to the spinal cord he would wake up from the procedure paralyzed and it could not be reversed.
The funds we raise in this campaign will go to the Anderson family to cover the numerous medical bills and time off of work.
They need money to live. Mortgage, school, basic day to day needs, transport, food. Bills still come despite this set back. Jennifer will have to take time off as well as Shawn being out of work, right now the best thing to do is to donate.
Please consider donating to this dear family. No donation is too small and all donations are greatly appreciated. They need our help. Any money we raise will be a blessing to this family.
We ask you to donate, share this page often and consider doing fundraisers to help.
We appreciate your prayers.
